Thomas Hitch graduated from Kalamazoo College (B.A. 1969) and the University of Detroit (J.D. cum laude 1975). He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1975; U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan in 1975; U.S. District Court, Western District of Michigan in 1978; Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in 1987; and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1991.
